Interview With Sweet Romance Author Rose Verde

What got you interested writing Sweet Romance books?

First, is my love for reading. Secondly, I wanted to write the kind of books I want to read.

Tell readers a little about the Floral Inn series.

My former publisher wanted a flower plus Inn themed story--the inn was to be named after a flower. At that time, I wasn't even sure what story I would write. It didn't stop me from indicating interest. I always start with a what if, had a lot of false starts but eventually nailed it down to the story in Spring Beauty Inn. And did I say I enjoyed writing it? Yeah, I sure did.

If you could live the life of one of your characters, would you?

Sure.

Which character and why?

Kathy. I loved that she was able to achieve what she set her heart to do and irrespective of circumstances, she reminds me that we're the only ones who can stop ourselves. That's actually the story about my writing career.

What's your favorite character that you have created and why?

Mike Pierce. Making him a wedding planner was something I enjoyed, lol.

Do you have any real-life stories that you have incorporated into one of your books?

Not really. But one of my WIP (works-in-progress), a royalty story was sparked by a story of a lady who was left at the altar. But, its my hero I left at the altar, lol.

If you had to choose a different career other than writing, what would it be?

Oh, I'm a Nurse and I enjoy helping people. By the way, I'm not writing full time because I'm hoping to become a professor some day, lol.

What is your favorite book that you have ever written and why?

A Time To Heal.

I don't know why I'm partial other than that I enjoyed seeing my character, a medically discharged Marine go through the low valley of pain, uncertainty to the point of seeing himself as too broken to be desired by any woman emerge in newness. I gave him his match in my heroine, Raven. I loved the spunky young woman who made Landon want to live again.

What do you like to do with your time when you're not writing?

Sing, read.

What's a fun fact that your readers might not know about you?

I will love to go to the moon 😊😊 Oh, and maybe becoming an Author-Professor

What do you have in store for your readers next?

I actually have several books coming out. I had one released this month. Planning on releasing every month till all four or five are done. God willing, in the new year, I plan to go indie with two sets of series in different stages of writing. But, we'll see what God has in store.
